We did not buy this plastic: it comes from our own production tooling, made redundant when the way we manufacture changed. Ground, remelted and moulded by Unique Plastique, in Québec City, it becomes an object you use every day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo versions. The \u003cstrong\u003eclear\u003c\/strong\u003e one is the plastic alone, transparent, just as it comes out of our tooling. The \u003cstrong\u003ebrown\u003c\/strong\u003e one contains milkweed seed cake, what is left after the oil is pressed. That is what gives it its black-flecked amber, with no added pigment, and no two brown clips are alike.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo be clear: in the brown version, milkweed does not insulate anything and plays no technical role. It adds colour, and above all it gives a use to a residue that would otherwise serve no purpose.
